This project monitored the waste management methods in five municipalities across Lebanon (Bechmezzine, Majd alAnjar, Saida, Choueifat, and Jdeideh), evaluated their action plans, and observed whether the actions taken are environmental friendly and comply with international laws. Data and information on the practices were collected from the Municipal Council, as well as Council for Development and Reconstruction (CDR). A SWOT analysis and further investigation was conducted in order to verify that the Municipalities and contracted companies were complying by the environmental and safety standards.
